The Second Annual Reinforcement Learning Competition will conclude with a workshop at ICML-08 at which the winners will be announced.  All competitors are invited to participate in the poster session and top competitors will be invited to give short whiteboard talks about their methods.  There will also be several moderated discussions on topics including the challenges of empirical RL and the future of the competition.  Note that regular registration for ICML-08 ends on June 18th.

Student Travel Grants

A limited number of student travel grants are now available.  If you are a student participating in the competition and wish to attend the workshop at ICML-08 in Helsinki, you are eligible to apply.  In exchange for substantial travel grants, selected students will be expected to help with the organization of the competition during the month of June (~3 hours/week per person) and during the conference, to present posters about their entries at the conference, and to be be prepared to give whiteboard talks at the workshop if asked. Whiteboard Talks

Top competitors in each domain will be asked to give short (~10 minute) whiteboard talks describing their methods.   Since the winners won't be announced until the workshop itself, all competitors attending the workshop should come prepared to give such a talk.
